Installation disclaimer
Professional installation strongly recommended
CarbonPower steering wheels should be installed by a qualified automotive technician or professional installer. Steering wheels are safety-critical components. Improper installation can result in loss of vehicle control, airbag non-deployment or accidental deployment, damage to vehicle electronics, and serious injury or death.
Airbag / SRS safety
Your original OEM airbag module, clockspring, and SRS wiring are NOT included with this product and must be transferred from your factory steering wheel. Before any work, you MUST disconnect the vehicle battery and wait a minimum of 15–30 minutes to allow the SRS capacitor to fully discharge before handling any airbag components.
OEM component transfer
Your factory horn buttons, cruise control switches, audio controls, paddle shifters (if applicable), airbag module, and related wiring connectors must be transferred from your OEM steering wheel to the CarbonPower wheel. CarbonPower is not responsible for harm to factory components during transfer or reinstallation.
Torque specifications
The steering wheel center nut must be torqued to your vehicle manufacturer's exact OEM specification. Always use a torque wrench and refer to your vehicle's factory service manual for the correct torque value.
Post-installation checks
After installation, verify: all buttons and controls function correctly; the airbag warning light is OFF and no SRS codes are present; the horn functions; the steering wheel is centered with road wheels straight; and all wiring is secured and not pinched. Do not drive the vehicle if any warning lights or abnormal conditions are present.
No liability for installation
CarbonPower provides installation guidance as general reference only. We are not liable for damage, injury or loss that results from installation, to the extent the law allows. All installation risk is assumed by the purchaser and installer.
Legal / road use
Depending on your jurisdiction, aftermarket steering wheel modifications may affect vehicle inspections, insurance coverage, or road legality. You are solely responsible for verifying compliance with all local laws and regulations before operating the vehicle on public roads.
